Course Description

This course is designed for qualified automotive technicians, skilled professionals currently working in the industry, or third- and fourth-year apprentices who have completed at least 80% of their technical studies. Participants will explore the core principles involved in servicing and repairing air conditioning components and systems for both cars and heavy vehicles. Over four intensive days, master air conditioning & HVAC principles, plus essential refrigerant handling safety. Gain vital hands-on experience servicing, repairing, and diagnosing systems using our purpose-built training aids and comprehensive equipment. The course also focuses on enhancing teamwork, promoting safe working practices, and fostering environmental awareness while planning and managing automotive air conditioning operations. Course Eligibility: To enrol in this specialised course, you must possess either an Australian automotive trade qualification (or equivalent), be a 3rd or 4th-year automotive apprentice, or have considerable experience working in the motor industry. Course Structure: The course will be completed through a face-to-face component for the three air conditioning units and either a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT) for the remaining 10 units. Upon enrolment, our friendly staff will discuss with you your own pathway to complete the qualification. As part of enrolment, you'll need to apply for a trainee (classroom) refrigerant handling license from the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC); we will provide full assistance with this application.
